Tablet & Ticket began making and servicing building directories in 1895.
The original directory namestrips were made of inhouse material using thin strips of fiber board wrapped in special paper and lettered using hand selected steel dies and gummed paper in a manually operated press. Later pantograph engravers, computerized engravers were used and currently, laser engravers do the work.
